Its A Fabulous Year at TRF

Rehearsal yesterday was just plain awesome.  I know that I, like many others, had trepidations about this season, and you know what?  What the HELL were we so worried about?  This has been the most easy going, relaxed, non-stressful, PRODUCTIVE, and fun years in a long time.  That's not to say people aren't working their collective arses off.  They are.  But the whole atmosphere is just so right, for lack of a better word.  The vets are picking things right up and injecting new life into the old material, and the rookies are picking it right up, and injecting new life of their own.  And the TALENT we have this year.  Hell, each and EVERY year we have awesome talent, but I have not seen this much talent from a group of new performers as I have this year.  Our rehearsal schedule has been reduced in that those time slots slated for Sundays have not been needed and I have been able to stay home on Sundays.

The path shows that were demo'd yesterday were just flat out amazing and a true testament to the talent and ability of the groups to work together and be FUNCTIONAL GROUPS.  Robin Hood's path show was so entertaining and so good, that I didn't want to take notes because I was so into watching their performance.  It goes into my all time top five favorite path shows.  I honestly can't wait to see it again because I laughed so hard.  The French have an ambitious musical number that will be phenomenal once the kinks are worked out.  I was just fun to sit and watch everything the groups had put together.

We are so far BLISSFULLY devoid of drama this year (knock on wood) and if there IS any drama going on, well, I don't know about it, or am not privy to it.  That's not to say there have not been a few moments that could have blown up and become major drama moments, but they have been diffused and handled maturely.

In other news, its time to sell the Acura.  Its a great car, but its outlived its usefulness to us and we need to sell it and buy a car that is family friendly and will be appropriate for shuttling babies around.  NO MINI VANS!  Tarik is looking at a smaller SUV or a truck with a back seat.  If anyone is interested in a 1992 Acura Integra which has been all but refurbished in the last 12 months, please let me know.  Its a great car and I love it to death and will be sad to see it go, but, its time.

Song Virus du Jour:  The music for the "Meage a' Trois" dance at faire

Useless Trivia du Jour:  Or rather TMI Moment du Jour....  Its amazing how bloated I can get after a couple of days without having a bm.  Sorry.  Just had to orate on that one.

Preggo Craving du Jour:  I had it a couple of nights ago, but it was so good I need it again.  Fried zucchini from Caraba's.
